ATI Catalyst 10.4: Download steht bereit [Update] AGP-Hotfix

ATI AllgemeinAMD veröffentlicht den Catalyst 10.4 mit WHQL-Zertifikat sowie ein Update der CrossfireX-Profile das Probleme mit Battlefield Bad Company 2 und Starcraft 2 behebt.
AMDs Catalyst Crew hat für das Treiberpaket der Version 10.4 das WHQL-Zertifikat erhalten und den Treiber nun zum offiziellen Download freigegeben. Die interne Bildschirmtreiberversion trägt die Nummer 8.723 welcher alle Karten von der HD 2000 beginnend bis zur aktuellen HD 5000-Serie unterstützt.


In den Realeasenotes finden sich Hinweise auf zwei neue Funktionen die der Videowiedergabe bzw. -transkodierung dienen und eine lange Liste an Verbesserungen unter Microsofts aktuellem Betriebssystem Windows 7. Unter anderem werden die Ladezeiten und das Texturflackern in Battlefield Bad Company 2 deutlich verbessert aber auch auftretende Probleme, mit den immer weiter verbreiteten CrossFire-Kombinationen, wurden behoben.

Hier einige der wichtigsten Auszüge:
• ATI Catalyst – Video enhancements - H.264 Level 5.1 support
• AMD video transcoding updates - This release of ATI Catalyst™ provides enhanced support for the Windows 7 Drag and Drop video converter
•"Battlefield 2: Bad Company" maps no longer takes unusually long to load for ATI Radeon™ HD 5000 Series
• Flickering corruption and flashing textures are no longer visible in "Battlefield 2: Bad Company"
• Changing in-game resolution in "Alien vs. Predator" no longer causes screen
flickering under multi-GPU configuration

The following performance gains are noticed with this release of Catalyst™ 10.4:

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. – Clear Sky
•ƒ Improves up to 6% with ATI Radeon™ HD 5970 graphics products
•ƒ Improves up to 3% with ATI Radeon™ HD 5800 graphics products
•ƒ Improves up to 3% on ATI Radeon™ HD 5700 Series products

Crossfireprofilaktualisierung:
• Battlefield Bad Company 2 Fix - horizontal lines are no longer observed when running an ATI CrossFireX configuration
• Battlefield Bad Company 2 Fix - flickering and black square corruption is no longer observed when running on single card ATI Radeon products
• ATI Catalyst Control Center – forced on Anti-Aliasing is now supported in the following titles: Supreme Commander 2, Dirt2, Avatar and Battlefield Bad Company2 (single GPU configurations)
• Starcraft® 2: Wings of Liberty beta on ATI Radeon™ 5800 products running in an ATI CrossFireX configurations: moving units near the edge of a cliff no longer causes them to fall because the height field is corrupted

Der 10.4a soll neuer sein, und behebt auch den BC2 Load-Bug. In 10.4Whql ist der Bug aber wieder vorhanden.

Wer mit dem 10.4a keine Probleme hat, sollte lieber den nehmen ;)
